Ref: Invitation to nominate a person to attend the CLCWA/Liberia 2nd National Youth Conference in Caldwell Coffee Farm Montserrado (April 18-19, 2008)

 

Greetings and best wishes from the Liberian Chapter of Takingitglobal (TIG) project known as, “Creating Local Connections West Africa (CLCWA)”. This project which focuses on Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a means of meeting challenges young people are faced with in Liberia, has benefited more than 200 Liberian youths in ICT, entrepreneurship and leadership since its commencement  six months ago. The project has also set up a youth ICT Resource Center in Caldwell Coffee Farm.

 

We as implementers of the project are concluding the pilot phase of  the project by a two days National Ceremony which seeks to bring together  forty (40) youths participant from the various organizations from around the country to meet on at the Multi-Purpose Youth Peacebuilding Center, from the 18th – 19th, April, 2008.

 

The first meeting was held in Kakata Last year in October on the campus of the Booker Washington Institute and brought together youth from the fifteen counties in Liberia. This time, we wish to add more sugar to it and critically look at burning issue in our society. Our theme for the next meeting will be

 

In view of the aforementioned, we wish to encourage all organization to nominate one person to attend this second ceremony. Transportation and feeding will be provided. All expected delegates are expected to facilitate their own way to the Center. Thereafter, all reasonable transportation cost will be reimbursed including transportation to go back home.

 

All delegates from Bomi, Lofa, Nimba, Cape Mount, and Grand Bassa Counties are expected to arrive in Monrovia, the night before the day of the meeting.

 

All delegates are expected to arrive at the Center not latter than 9:30 Am on Friday, 18th April, the day of the opening ceremony.
